Synopsis 

EDLocal is a proposal to establish over a period of 3 years a Best Practice Network to improve the interoperability of the digital content held by regional and local institutions and make it accessible through the European Digital Library (EDL) and to other services. The expected results include the establishment of a network of regional repositories that are highly interoperable with the EDL, an integrated EDL-EDLocal prototype service and the development of thematic areas for EDL services which integrate content from both the national and the local/regional level.
