Eleftherios received a BSc in Civil engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MSc in Civil (Transportation) engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. During his studies he worked as a research assistant at the center of transportation studies at Blacksburg Virginia. Eleftherios also received a Master’s in Business Administration from ENPC in Paris and a Bachelor of Arts in International politics from CERIS in Brussels.

Following four years of working on the management of PPP infrastructure projects Eleftherios joined for six years the European Commission in Brussels. As a policy and project officer in Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry and Directorate General for Research and innovation he worked on a series of topics related to innovation, energy and environment. Eleftherios joined CyI as Scientific Project Officer for CaSToRC Research. In this function, he has responsibility for the management and oversight of the implementation of CaSToRC research projects and the organization of international training and dissemination events associated with these projects.
