The University of Cyprus is the largest research and educational institution in the country. The Cyprus Institute is committed to collaborating with the University whenever opportunities arise. Joint research projects have been launched with the Archaeological Research Unit and with the Department of Physics. Prof. Alexandrou (Physics) is the Chair of the Interim Governing Board of the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC), while Prof. Michaelides (ARU) is a member of the Interim Governing Board of the Science and Technology for Archaeology Research Center (STARC). A number of individual research and infrastructure projects involve collaborations between scientists at the Cyprus Institute and at the University of Cyprus.
