Flagship Projects

pharos cy logo Pharos-CY is Cyprus's AI Factory Antenna, designed to strengthen the national artificial intelligence ecosystem by providing researchers, innovators, public organizations, startups, and SMEs with access to advanced AI computing resources and services. It forms part of the wider European AI Factory ecosystem and is closely linked to the Pharos AI Factory in Greece. Through access to high-performance computing resources, Pharos-CY aims to accelerate AI innovation, support the development of trustworthy and secure AI solutions, build national AI skills and talent, and foster the adoption of AI across strategic sectors such as health, sustainability, cultural heritage and language.
eurocc2 logo EuroCC 3 continues the work of the EuroCC and EuroCC 2 projects to identify and address the skills gaps in the European High-Performance Computing (HPC) ecosystem and to coordinate cooperation across Europe to ensure a consistent skills base. The role of EuroCC 3 is to operate and further strengthen the network of National Competence Centers (NCCs) across the EuroHPC Participating States. The NCCs act as single points of access in each country, connecting stakeholders to national and EuroHPC systems. EuroCC 3 delivers training, interacts with industry, develops competence mapping and communication materials and activities, and supports the adoption of HPC services in adjacent fields, such as High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA), data-intensive computing, digital twins, computational modelling and simulation, and computational science.
quest logo The QUEST project aims to make Cyprus “quantum ready”, aligning with the objectives of the widening program and the ERA chair action. The objectives of QUEST strengthen the role of CaSToRC as the national high-performance center of Cyprus, namely by the mission of the center to carry out computation-based interdisciplinary research, spread knowledge and provide support to local researchers in using computing technologies for research and innovation.
