Dr. Georgios Christodoulou completed his PhD in particle physics in 2011 at the University of Liverpool, UK. He continued as a postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool on various particle and nuclear physics projects based in Europe, US, and Japan. Georgios was awarded the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics in 2016 along with fellow collaborators from the T2K experiment. In 2018 he was awarded a research fellowship at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN). In 2021 Georgios joined Unicaf University to work on the establishment and management of the university campuses in Africa. In May 2022, he joined the Cyprus Institute as Scientific Coordinator for the CaSToRC EuroHPC National Competence Centre.
