Abstract

floodClimate change is expected to cause more flood events and a reduction in water resources in Cyprus. Here we will present in four brief state of the art talks:

- High resolution downscaling of future rainfall extremes, by George Zittis and Panos Hadjinicolaou
- Modelling future flood events for the Pedieos River Basin, by Marios Mouskoundis and Ayis Iacovides
bingo logo- Modelling future droughts with forestry water balance observations in Peristerona Watershed, by Adriana Bruggeman, Marinos Eliades, Hakan Djuma and Corrado Camera
- Economic efficiency of four adaption options for the downstream Peristerona area, by Elias Giannakis and Christos Zoumides

The BINGO Project is a 3-year H2020 project that analyses the impacts of climate change on the water sector and conducts an integrated analysis of adaptation options. The project worked with Communities of Practice in Research Sites in Norway, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus. The project co-organized the fourth European Climate Change Adaptation Conference in Lisbon and will end in October 2019.
