Visit of Delegation of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) to CyI

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), Mr. Christodoulos Angastiniotis, visited The Cyprus Institute along with CCCI’s Secretary-General, Mr. Marios Tsiakkis, CCCI’s Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Leonidas Paschalides, and Mr. Michalis Moushouttas, President of Nicosia CCI.

Within the context of the visit, CCCI’s delegation, was given a short briefing on the Institute’s research and educational activities, as well as the history of cooperation with CCCI, and a short outdoor guided tour of CyI campus, including CyI’s Linear Fresnel Solar Energy System facilities.

Hosting the meeting was CyI’s President, Prof. George Christophides, in the presence of CyI's Assistant Vice President for International Relations, Dr Nicolas Jarraud, CyI’s Assistant Vice-President of Strategy and Development, Dr Konstantinos Kleovoulou, CyI’s Assistant Vice-President of Policy and Internal Communications, Mrs. Eleni Sophocleous, CyI’s Director of Research and Technical Support, Dr Vassilios Tsakalos, CyI’s Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr Fabio Montagnino, and CyI’s Associate Professor in Energy Policy, Dr Theodoros Zachariadis.

Both Institutions signed an MoU in 2016, and this meeting was an occasion to discuss how to reinforce their collaboration, as well as possible new areas of cooperation. More joint activities are set to follow from this visit.
