Ayche ORGUN has been working as a technical research specialist in atmospheric science at the Cyprus Atmospheric Observatory (CAO), since October 2019.
She obtained a Masters in chemical pollution and environmental sciences from the University of Orsay, France.
Before joining CyI, she worked for five years as a technical engineer in the ICOS-RAMCES research team at LSCE, France. She was in charge of greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, SF6) analysis on Gas Chromatography (GC), and of CO2 isotopic ratio measurements using mass spectrometry.
She was also co-responsible for GC and CRDS instruments operating at the network stations.
Within CAO, she has taken on the responsibility for bioaerosol and is involved in aerosol research activities in collaboration with CEA/LSCE and LISA, France. Furthermore, in collaboration with CEA/LSCE, she leads the development of a network of bioaerosols and aerosol sampling in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East region in the frame of EMME-CARE project.
