Eleonora Kyriakou joined the Cyprus Institute and the CARE-C in March 2022, as an Assistant Project Officer. Prior to joining the CyI, she briefly worked as a Field Supervisor at the Statistical Service (CYSTAT), while she has also two years of combined professional experience in project management within a scientific environment, having previously worked at the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, the University of Cyprus and local non-governmental organizations.
Eleonora holds a BA in Political Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MA in European Politics from the University of Cyprus, and an MSc in International Public Management and Policy from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her master thesis on the role of non-state actors on member states' compliance with EU environmental directives carried out at Erasmus University was awarded the Unilever Research Prize (2021), a yearly award granted to young scientists who have done exceptional work on topics relevant to the UN SDGs.
