Corey McClintock joined the Cyprus Institute as a Research Assistant for Emissions and Air Quality Modelling in November 2021.  She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in English.  She spent over four summers at UNC-Asheville in an experimental and computational atmospheric chemistry research group funded by the National Science Foundation, resulting in three presentations at the American Chemical Society National Meetings and three publications in the Journal of Physical Chemistry A.   

She worked as a quality manager in a cosmetics factory prior to teaching English, Science, and Chemistry in both Spain and Cyprus.  She is currently pursuing her M.Ed. from North Carolina State University via distance education, with expected graduation in May 2022.  Her educational courses encompass both formal and informal science education, and upon graduation she will also earn a Certificate in Climate Adaptation.
