Dr. Klito Petallidou holds a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Cyprus (Cyprus) and a BSc in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece).
Her research interest is in the area of Heterogeneous Catalysis. In particular, she investigates kinetic and mechanistic aspects of heterogeneous catalytic reactions using kinetic data and transient isotopic techniques (coupled with online Mass Spectrometry and infrared spectroscopy).
She was awarded with a Postdoctoral Fellowship (University of Cyprus) and with a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (Horizon 2020, European Commission). She has been a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the University of California at Berkeley and in the University of Cyprus.
Currently, she is employed as Associate Research Scientist at the Cyprus Institute. Her research work aims to develop effective nanomaterials for catalytic applications.
