Panayiotis-Yiannis Vrionis holds a diploma (5y) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the aforementioned university. His doctoral studies focused on the development of shape and topology optimization tools using the Adjoint and the Cut-cell methods and their application in the field of fluid mechanics.

Currently, he is a computational scientist at CaSToRC studying wetting hydrodynamics.
