Dr Leonidas Christodoulou is a machine learning researcher with over a decade of experience across academia, industry, and the public sector. His research is in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a focus on explainable and trustworthy AI, causal inference, and Bayesian modelling. He is the Principal Investigator of DAIRY, an RIF funded CODEVELOP project applying machine learning and AI for improving the resilience and welfare of dairy farms in Cyprus.

He holds a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Sussex, where his doctoral and postdoctoral research applied neural-network and statistical methods to large scientific datasets. Before returning to research he spent ten years as a data scientist in industry, building and deploying machine learning systems across the energy, technology, and public-sector fields. He lectures on data science and machine learning at the CyI Postgraduate School.
