Marinos Eliades joined the Energy, Environment and Water Research Centre (EEWRC) of the Cyprus Institute in October 2012 as a research assistant. In 2008, he received a Bachelor in Geology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2010, he obtained a Master of Science in the interdepartmental (Geology, Biology and Civil Engineering) program entitled “ecological quality and water management at a river basin level” from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His undergraduate research project was titled “sedimentological characteristics of the Kouris (Cyprus) catchment” and his MSc Thesis “Typology, geomorphological and sedimentological characteristics of Kouris catchment (Cyprus) using GIS”. He also participated in a case study on the Almopaios river basin (Greece).
