In order to tackle this pandemic and promptly react to regulatory changes, a Crisis Management Team was established in March 2020 and is in force.The Crisis Management Team is a sub-committee of the Occupational health and Safety (OHS) Committee and is comprised of top management, and some of the worker safety representatives.The purpose of this team is to react efficiently and promptly to regulatory requests and to adapt the operational needs of the entire Institute.The team issues and updates internal guidelines, is informed on the management of any positive Covid-19 cases or close contact, prepares the Institute's strategies to deal with the pandemic.

The Institute, in accordance with the measures of the Republic of Cyprus in relation to the COVID19 pandemic has developed a plan of 4 alert levels, which will be applied after assessing the severity of the situation. CyI staff will be informed of the alert level regularly via electronic mail and the designated webpage. The approach applied and presented below is based on risk matrix, i.e. for each level of risk identified (low, medium, high, very high), preventive and protective measures are defined.

As the situation continues to change rapidly, our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community.
