On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the General Manager of TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V., Mr. Romain de La Martinière, and the Joint Ventures and Government Affairs Advisor of TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V., Dr Andreas Tornaritis, visited The Cyprus Institute’s premises.

Hosting the meeting was CyI President, CEO of CREF, and Head of the Energy Division, Prof. Costas Papanicolas, in the presence of CyI Assistant Vice President of Strategy and Development, Dr Konstantinos Kleovoulou, CyI Assistant Vice President of International Relations, Dr Nicolas Jarraud, EEWRC Director, Prof. Fadi Comair, CyI Prof. Salvatore Carlucci, CyI Associate Research Scientist in Energy Policy, Dr Nestor Fylaktos, and the Head of PROTEAS Operations Facility, Dr Marios C. Georgiou.

The delegation was given a briefing on the Institute’s research and educational activities by Dr Konstantinos Kleovoulou, including interventions on Energy Policy and Renewables by Dr Nestor Fylaktos and Dr Marios Georgiou. The discussion centred around the potential areas of collaboration between TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V. and The Cyprus Institute. Followed by the brief meeting, the delegation was given a guided tour of CyI campus and Institute’s Labs (including Fresnel, USRL, TesLab and APAC facilities).

Finally, the delegation from the TotalEnergies EP Cyprus B.V. expressed their thanks for the opportunity to visit, and congratulated the administration and the scientists of the Institute for the impressive, modern facilities and their research achievements.
