Andreas C. Dimitriou is an Assistant Professor of Animal Genetics and Biodiversity at the School of Veterinary Medicine, European University Cyprus. His research interests include evolutionary biology, biodiversity, conservation genetics, and population genetics, with a particular focus on the application of genetic and genomic tools to understanding evolutionary processes, conserving biodiversity, and characterizing natural and domesticated animal populations.

He has contributed to studies on genetic diversity, population structure, and genetic improvement in livestock species and has been involved in several research projects at the University of Cyprus. He has also collaborated with governmental and non-governmental organizations on biodiversity conservation, wildlife management, and wildlife forensic investigations.
