The Communications Office is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the communication and public relations strategies, plans, and policies of the Institute, and for communicating Institute news including research results, public events and other achievements to the CyI community and the outside world.

It advises and supports Institute staff in promoting and disseminating their research and scholarship to a variety of academic and non-academic audiences, including to prospective students, academics, policy-makers, key partners and stakeholders, and to the general public.

It supports CyI’s communications activities by researching, writing and distributing original news content via the preparation of media and publicity materials including articles, newsletters and press releases to external media (TV, printed and online press, etc.) and to the Institute’s dissemination channels (website, email, social media, etc.)

It manages and maintains the Institute’s web presence including its main and secondary websites and social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram), and oversees their advancement so they are at the forefront of developments and trends.

It assists in the organization of outreach and dissemination events including press conferences, workshops, exhibitions, open days and press tours, and fostering community relations through involvement in community initiatives.
