Katerina Charalambous joined the Energy, Environment and Water Research Centre (EEWRC) of the Cyprus Institute in November 2010 as a Research Assistant. She received a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast in 2010 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering from the University of Ulster in 2009. Her undergraduate research project was titled ‘Sustainable Water Management in Mediterranean Islands’ and her MSc thesis ‘Urban Water Balance and Management’ using Limassol as a case study. In September 2011 she joined the CyI graduate school.
