Maria-Thalia Christou, joined the Cyprus Institute in September 2018 as a Project Officer at the Energy, Environment and Water Research Center (EEWRC), where she is responsible for:- Financial project oversight
She was the coordinator for the Cyprus EU Presidency (2011-2012) within the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels. She has previously worked at Enoros Consulting Ltd (2014 – 2018) as Project Manager designing, drafting and coordinating and implementing several EU projects under Erasmus+, Interreg, AMIF, Justice and REC programmes, EEA Grants etc. Her professional background also includes research experience (Panteion University; 2009-2010), public affairs advisory expertise, project financial management, EU Law and lobbying experience (Grayling Brussels; 2013-2014).
Maria Thalia holds a BA in International and European Studies from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (2010), with specialization in International & European Law and an MSc in EU Politics and Government from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE; 2011). She also holds an International Master as a Policy Advisor and Project Consultant from the Institute of European Studies of the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL; 2013).
Maria Thalia is also a Member of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Alumni Mentoring Network.
