The Cyprus Institute (CyI) has been included in the Nature Index, one of the world's leading indicators of high-quality scientific research, marking an important milestone in the Institute's continued growth as an internationally recognized research organization.

The Nature Index tracks research outputs published in a select group of the world's most influential scientific journals and is widely regarded as a benchmark of research excellence, impact, and collaboration. Inclusion in the Index reflects the quality and visibility of the research conducted by an institution and its contribution to advancing knowledge at the international level.

According to the latest Nature Index data, The Cyprus Institute ranks third among research institutions in Cyprus and is the highest-ranked institution in the NGO/non-profit research sector. Globally, CyI is placed among the top 500 organizations in this category, positioning the Institute within the top 8% of institutions worldwide.

The recognition highlights the strength of CyI's research activities across its areas of expertise and reflects the dedication of its faculty, researchers, scientists, students and professional staff. It also strengthens the Institute's international profile, supporting its ability to attract talented researchers, build strategic partnerships and compete successfully for research funding.

Commenting on the achievement, CyI leadership noted that inclusion in the Nature Index provides further evidence of the Institute's commitment to conducting research that addresses major scientific and societal challenges while contributing to Cyprus' position within the global research landscape.

This milestone represents another step forward in CyI's mission to serve as a regional center of excellence for research and innovation and demonstrates the growing international impact of the Institute's scientific work.
