Belkis Meha joined the Cyprus Institute as a PhD student after receiving her Master’s degree in Anthropology at the Istanbul University (2019) and her Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology along with Prehistoric Archaeology (double major) at the Istanbul University. Belkis Meha worked in several anthropological projects and excavations in Turkey.
Her research focused on bioarcheology of Early Bronze Age populations of Anatolia. Her primary research interest is reconstructing human life history and exploring physical activity pattern of prehistoric human societies by studying micrometer and nanometer scale investigation of bones.
Research interest: Skeletal biology, mortuary practices, paleopathology, cross-sectional geometric properties of long bones, locomotion
