Michalis Karamichalis is a Junior Software Engineer in Interactive Visualisation at the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC) of the Cyprus Institute. He holds a BSc in Computer Science with First-Class Honours from the University of South Wales and is currently completing an MSc in Advanced Computer Science at Cardiff University (September 2026). Michalis has been recognised for his academic excellence with the British Computer Society Award for Outstanding Performance.
Throughout his studies he has developed strong skills in full-stack development, machine learning, and algorithmic problem-solving, with a particular focus on creating impactful software solutions. Beyond his work, Michalis is an active participant in the tech community, frequently engaging in hackathons and maintaining memberships in both the British and Cyprus Computer Societies.
