Danai Konstantinidou joined the CyI in September 2012. She holds an Advanced MA in Conservation of Monuments and Sites from the Raymond Lemaire International Center for Conservation of the Katholieke Universiteit of Leuven, Belgium, 2012 and a MA in Architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, 2009. Having worked in an international environment, both as a student and as a free-lancer, she is familiar with the challenges of integrating academic approaches to the actual on-site work process.
Danai is interested in the implementation of technology in the process of surveying, documenting and restoring historical buildings. She seeks to understand which questions of researching could be more sufficiently, accurately and efficiently answered by using digital media in collaboration with the theoretical academic knowledge. In her research she embraces 2d and 3d representation techniques, GIS systems, photorectification and constructing technologies for a better understand of the building in question
