Before joining the Institute, Vincent completed his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics (Statistics and Operation Research Major) at the University of Nairobi, Kenya in 2015. In 2017, he was among the MasterCard Foundation scholars selected to pursue a one year intensive Masters in Mathematical Sciences at African Institute for Mathematical sciences, AIMS South Africa. The program was offered in collaboration with University of Western Cape, South Africa.
At AIMS South Africa, his research was at the interface between optimization and energy modelling. His Master’s thesis entitled 'Review Survey of Optimization Models for Unit Commitment Problem'. At The Cyprus Institute, his research focus is at the interface between machine learning and air quality modelling and currently working on Low-Cost sensor calibration using machine learning.
