Vincent joined the Climate and Atmospheric Science Research Center (CARE-C) of the Cyprus Institute as a PhD student in February 2022. He received his BSc in Mathematics (Statistics and Operations Research major) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, MSc in Mathematical science jointly awarded by the University of Western Cape and the African Institute for Mathematical Science, AIMS South Africa. Prior to starting a PhD, Vincent also completed his MPhil in Environmental Science at Cyprus Institute.
His research interest is broadly at the interface between Data Science and Air quality and currently working on Machine Learning calibration of low-cost gas and particulate sensor data, and performing data quality checks to ascertain whether the calibrated data meet the data quality objectives defined by the EU directive.
