Christos completed his graduate studies in Physical Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, UK.

He then moved to Tübingen, Germany where he worked as a research assistant at the Hertie Institute for brain research.

He pursued a PhD in solid-state physics at Humboldt University of Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Norbert Koch. His PhD focused on the study of the interaction between graphene and organic molecules.

After his PhD studies, Christos worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (HZB), where he coordinated a bilateral European project and studied the characteristics of novel organic solar cells.

He then transitioned to industry, starting as a Data / Machine learning Engineer at Motionlogic GmbH (Deutsche Telekom), building distributed algorithms using spatiotemporal data. He then led a research and development team at the same company, focusing on the development of algorithms for traffic analysis.

He worked as an engineering manager at a fintech company - Klarna - leading a team of data scientists, analysts and software engineers in building fraud detection systems and low-latency APIs to enable fraud and credit risk modeling. He acted as engineering/product manager and relationship manager.

Dr. Christos Christodoulou is the Managing Coordinator of the SimEA project, working as Innovation Scout for the SimEA and EuroCC projects at CaSToRC.
