New finds have come come to light during this year’s excavation season at Agios Sozomenos, within the framework of the Agios Sozomenos Survey and Excavation Project (ASESP), under the direction of Dr. Despo Pilides, Curator of Antiquities.

During the excavation, soil samples were collected for the retrieval of organic material and the archaeobotanical remains were studied by STARC’s Evi Margaritis to reveal new evidence about the site.
