CyI Organizes Event on Training and Networking Programme for Young Research Administrators and Managers

The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center of The Cyprus Institute organized the Training and Networking Programme for Young Research Administrators and Managers Event. The 4-day event was organised within the context of the OPEN SESAME project το ensure optimal exploitation of the Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) light source, and consisted of presentations by invited experts, and a visit to CyI’s Solar Research Facilities. The event took place 7 to 10 May 2018 at the Cyprus Institute’s facilities in Athalassa. 

The workshop facilitated presentations from word leading research institutes, including the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), and The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). Participants from seven SESAME member states including Cyprus, Jordan, Palestine, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt and Iran attended the event.
