The Ambassador of Spain in Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Gabriel Ferrán Carrión along with the Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Manuel de la Iglesia Anglada, visited The Cyprus Institute’s premises in Athalassa on Tuesday, 15th of June 2023, in order to explore new areas of common interest between the Embassy and the Institute.

 

Hosting the meeting was CyI President Prof. Stavros Malas, in the presence of CyI Assistant Vice President of Policy and Internal Communications, Mrs. Eleni Sophocleous.

 

Following a discussion regarding The Cyprus institute’s research and educational activities, vision and potential common areas of interest for future collaboration, the delegation was given a guided tour of selected CyI facilities including: the Linear Fresnel Collector (LFC) Facility, the Unmanned Systems Research Laboratory (USRL), the BioMERA MicroCT Facility, the Environmental Archaeology Lab, the Andreas Pittas Art Characterisation Laboratory (APAC), and the High Performance Computing Facility (HPC).
