Dr Avgoustinos Avgousti holds a Ph.D. from Ionian University, a Master's Degree (MSc) in Medical Informatics from New York State University (SUNY), and a Bachelor's Degree (BSc) in Information Technology from St. Francis College (SFC) in New York. 

Over the past eleven years, Avgoustinos has been a Senior Officer specializing in Digital Humanities and Digital Cultural Heritage Informatics at The Cyprus Institute's Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC). Before joining The Cyprus Institute, he worked in the USA and Cyprus's information technology, informatics, and medical informatics sectors for approximately ten years. Additionally, he served as a college lecturer in computer science and web development for three years.
