Soteris Papasoteriou has graduated with a master’s degree in chemical engineering at the university of Edinburgh in 2019. He had the opportunity to study at the university of Queensland as an exchange student for a year.
His dissertation project was about the process modelling and simulation of molten carbonate fuel cells as a potential carbon capture solution from existing power plants.
The main research interests, leading to his decision to pursue a PhD are:
Renewable power to green hydrogen production and its use in small energy communities.
Sector coupling of electricity, heat and mobility in a more decentralised and digital grid.
Net zero energy buildings.
