Dr. Anne Maisser finished her undergraduate and PhD studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. After she earned her PhD in 2012 she worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the Delft University of Technology, in The Netherlands for the European Commission FP7 project Buonapart-e. The project involved a consortium of 21 European member institutions aiming towards up-scale aerosol based nanoparticle production (spark/arc discharge generation methods) to an industrial level.
In 2014 she got awarded a Schrödinger Fellowship funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) to work as a research fellow at both, the University of Minnesota, MN, USA, and the University of Vienna, Austria. The aim of this project was to carry out basic research on ion induced heterogeneous nucleation
Dr. Anne Maisser has also worked as a visiting researcher at The Cyprus Institute (CyI), and was employed at The CyI to run and maintain the environmental measurement stations operated in Cyprus.
Her main research interests are aerosol instrumentation development, heterogeneous nucleation, and aerosol based nanotechnology.
Currently, she is employed as a research associate scientist at CyI working under CARE-C. She is in charge of running the scientific work of the the RPF funded project, MAGNUM. The project aims to develop a fast response, cost-efficient and lightweight atmospheric measurement device for aerosol monitoring.
