We now accept application for participation in the field school from 27^th April to 16^th May 2026 via filling in this form.

Fist round of applications and early bird fee

In the first round, we will review applications submitted until 15th January 2026 and notify the applicants of the results in late January. If your application is successful and in order to benefit from the early bird fee (€2,500) you will need to transfer a non-refundable deposit of €500 before 15^th February 2026.

Second round of applications (if places are available)

Applications submitted after 15 January 2026 will be accepted if spaces are still available and until places are filled. If your application is successful, the regular fee amount will apply (€2,800) and a non-refundable deposit of €500 will have to be transferred within 14 days of confirmation to secure your place in the field school.

Scholarships

Four full-fee scholarships (including transport, subsistence and accommodation) are available for undergraduate or Masters students at Greek universities. These scholarships are kindly sponsored by AVAX. Details and application procedures will be announced here shortly, so please check back.

 

The project is aware of a funding opportunity to assist with field school funding offered by the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS), University of Chicago. CAMWS will be awarding three $2,000 scholarships to fund participants in summer excavations or field schools at an archaeological site in the Greco-Roman world. Generally, one award will be made to a graduate student and another to an undergraduate.
