Andreas Bertsatos is a post-doctoral researcher funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions [Program/Call: HORIZON-MSCA-2022-PF-01] at the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC), The Cyprus Institute. He holds a BEng in Electronic Systems Design from the University of Luton, UK, and a PhD in Biological Anthropology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Prior to his appointment at STARC, he held post-doctoral posts at the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of the University of Thessaly and the Department of Animal and Human Physiology of the Faculty of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

His research research aligns with complex statistical modelling and computational morphometric analysis of digital twins of the human skeleton. Most of my research work focuses on 3D modelling, geometric feature extraction, feature engineering for machine learning, Geometric Morphometrics on big data, and population statistics of biological parameters from human skeletal elements.. His research has resulted in 27 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 1 peer-reviewed chapter in a collaborative book on 3D Geometric Morphometrics, participation in several conferences and several open-source software for osteological applications including the highly recognized CSG-Toolkit.
