Information on entry visa to Cyprus
The Republic of Cyprus is a member of the European Union. EU citizens do not require a visa. For Non-European Nationals, details regarding visa requirements can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or at the Republic of Cyprus Embassy/Consulate in your country of residence. 

Traveling to Cyprus
The legal ports of entry into the Republic of Cyprus are the airports of Larnaca and Pafos (Paphos), which are situated in the area under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. Entry into the territory of the Republic of Cyprus via any other port or airport in which the Government of the Republic does not exercise effective control (Turkish occupied areas) is illegal.

Airport transfers
Upon your arrival, there are many taxis to be found at the exit to the airport. The Palm Beach Hotel is approx. 20-30 minutes from Larnaca airport, and 1hour 30 minutes from Paphos airport and the approx. cost of a taxi is €20 from Larnaca airport and €150 from Paphos airport.

Accommodation & Workshop venue
The Conference will be held at the Palm Beach Hotel (www.palmbeachhotel.com) in Larnaca, ideally located close to both Larnaca International Airport and Larnaca Town Centre. Accommodation has also been arranged at the hotel. The Palm Beach Hotel is a long-established and popular hotel which has been recently extensively renovated and upgraded featuring 5* facilities and services. The tranquil Mediterranean coastline is fringed by elegant palm trees and surrounded by exotic, spacious gardens and long private beach.

Banking
The currency in Cyprus is the Euro. Many ATM’s can be found around the island for withdrawal of cash. 

Bank opening hours are as follows: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 13:30

Banks are closed on Saturdays and Sundays

Weather
October is blessed with a comfortable average temperature of 22°C, which makes it the fifth warmest month of the year. Temperatures are pleasant throughout the day, with nighttime low temperatures of around 16°C and daytime high temperatures averaging a warm 27°C. The sea temperature remains relatively warm averaging at approx. 20°C, a temperature that is still suitable for swimming.

Recommended clothes are light weight summer clothing for the day, and long sleeve linen top or shirt for the evenings. 

Electricity
The electricity supply in Cyprus is 240 volts. Sockets are 13amp, square three pin (UK type). Participants are advised to have an adaptor with them. Plug adaptors will not be provided by the conference organizers.
