  • Entrepreneurship and New Business Venturing
    Understand the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship, including identifying opportunities, assessing risks, and creating innovative solutions. Explore the mindset required to thrive in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Business model development
    This lecture provides an overview of the importance of a business plan in entrepreneurial ventures, emphasizing its role in guiding strategic decisions. Participants will understand the key components and objectives of a business plan using the business model canvas (BMC) framework.
  • Marketing Strategies and Sustainability Practices for Entrepreneurs
    From analysing consumer preferences to managing brand identity, you will gain insights into how businesses can create meaningful connections with their audience while driving positive social change. Dive deep into topics such as social enterprises, life cycle assessment, circular economy principles, and sustainable collaboration, and discover innovative strategies for building brands that thrive in today's socially conscious marketplace.
  • A Primer to Entrepreneurial Financing
    • Overview of Funding Sources: Understand the variety of financing options available to startups, such as angel investment, venture capital, crowdfunding, and government grants.
    • Startup Financing Lifecycle: Examine the progression of funding stages from seed capital through to later-stage investments.
    • Exit Strategies: Delve into the common exit routes for startups, including IPOs, acquisitions, and mergers.
    • Basic Valuation Techniques: Learn fundamental methods for startup valuation, emphasizing practical application and relevance to funding.
  • Pitching Opportunities
    • This lecture introduces the importance of effective communication in pitching business ideas and securing opportunities. Participants will understand the key principles of persuasive communication and its impact on stakeholder engagement.



Participants will have the opportunity to engage in class discussions and receive feedback. They can also consult the instructors outside the course hours on any topic related to the course, such as creating a new start-up, developing their skills, or overcoming their communication challenges. If they have a specific idea to pursue, the instructors will guide them accordingly. The instructors will adopt a personalized approach for each student, recognizing their individual needs. Additionally, the participants can also register to participate in the Innovation Bootcamp taking place in person on the 17th, 18th and 21st of June.
